Why are we called ‘Evolution For Women’?
90-95% of Mortgage Brokers or Independent Financial Advisers are men (source). The industry is heavily biased towards men. Our overall business goal is to increase the amount of female financial planners in the UK whilst increasing the amount of financial advice options available to women. There is so much that needs to change in the industry to make an impact on the percentage of women financial planners. Firstly there needs to be a truly flexible working environment, which isn’t working 40 hour weeks. There needs to be encouragement in the workplace to learn and develop and it would need to become less of a sales environment. Women don’t like to sell or be sold too. The more women who become managers in these types of environments, the more women will be employed. But most importantly, it needs to change at the education level with universities and sixth form. Women need to be encouraged to work in a male environment without having to change themselves to become something they are not!
